Some malls might be struggling because of the problems many brick-and-mortar retailers are facing, but South Hills Village appears to be doing fine. In fact, four new retailers are village-bound:

  • The UPS Store, opening in early summer in the mall annex between Ulta and Macy’s, will provide packing, shipping, postal and mailbox services as well as small office business support such as binding, printing, copying and notary services. Passport photos also can be obtained there.
  • Spice and Tea Exchange will open on the lower level near Macy’s in late summer. The store will offer a wide selection of more than 140 seasonings and dozens of choices for tea enthusiasts, as well as sugars and salts.
  • Dry Goods, opening on the lower level near center court in late fall, is one of the hottest names in women’s fashion retail, supplying everything from stylish swimwear to denim to jewelry to dresses.
  • Trollbeads will open in the summer in the corridor between center court and the Dining District. Bead enthusiasts can find the highest quality designs created from nature's finest and most durable materials. Trollbeads was born in a small jewelry store in Denmark, when a silversmith started the trend of running a leather strap through the center of an artistic silver bead, instead of having the bead hang from an eyelet.
