Upper St. Clair To Hold Household Hazarous Materials Collection

Nominal charges will apply to get rid of the potentially dangerous materials.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Have any hazardous materials around the house that you’d like to dispose of? You’re in luck. The township will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the municipal building.

Among the items you can drop off at the event are paints, cleaners, oils, batteries and pesticides, many of which contain potentially hazardous ingredients requiring special disposal care. Improper disposal can include pouring items down the drain, on the ground, into storm sewers or putting them out in the trash. All of these methods can pollute the environment and post a health threat.

To sign up for the collection, residents can register online.
