Upper St. Clair To Perform Online Musical "Smokey Joe's Cafe"
The musical revue will feature songs from the 1950s.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — Upper St. Clair High School will present “Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller” from May 13-16 at 7:30 p.m.
The show will be available each evening via Broadway On Demand, which is available in APPS for the Apple iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Roku, Android and ChromeUPPER cast. Tickets are $15 per family, plus $3.95 streaming fee, and will be available at USCTheater.org.
Smokey Joe's Cafe is a musical revue featuring more than 40 hit songs from the 1950s. The story for the show is interpreted by the audience through the music and dance as there is no script that accompanies the show.

“We wanted to accommodate as many participants as possible. This format provided us with an opportunity to work with 59 cast members in a safe way,” Thomas Hunsberger, musical director, said. “It's also a really fun show that we thought the kids would enjoy working on.”
Due to COVID-19, this year many schools and colleges are using resources such as Broadway on Demand to stream their productions as a safe alternative to a live audience.
