Upper St. Clair Promotes Six Police Officers

A new group of police department leaders was sworn in Monday.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — Six Upper St. Clair police officers were promoted Monday, with Third Circuit Judge D. Michael Fisher officiating the swearing in of the new lieutenants and sergeants during a ceremony at the Community & Recreation Center.

The event was attended by current and former police officials, government officials and family members.

"It's a proud day in Upper St. Clair ," Upper St. Clair Chief Jonathan E. Wharton said. "We welcome this next class of leaders of our department."

Officers receiving promotions and their new rank:
  • Michael J. Lindenfelser was promoted to lieutenant.
  • Michael T. Ventura was promoted to lieutenant.
  • Justin D. Abbott was promoted to sergeant.
  • Brian J. Coughlin was promoted to sergeant.
  • Michael J. Lebetz was promoted to sergeant.
  • Anthony L. Oliva was promoted to sergeant.
