Upper St. Clair Schedules Veterans Day Observance
Former state auditor general Jack Wagner will appear at the Veterans Day event.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Former Pennsylvania Auditor General and Vietnam War veteran Jack Wagner will be the featured speaker at a Veterans Day observance Nov. 10 at Upper St. Clair Veterans Park.
The event to honor all branches of the Armed Forces, also will feature musical performances by Upper St. Clair High School’s marching band and Chanteclairs. The Rev. Valerian Michlik of St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church, will deliver the invocation and benediction. The Marine Corps Color Guard will present the colors and the South Hills Honor Guard will render a gun salute.
The observance will conclude with Upper St. Clair High School senior James Bostonl playing taps for the sixth consecutive year. The tradition began inadvertently when James was a seventh grader and volunteered to play taps when the scheduled bugler was unable to perform.

The event, which is open to all veterans and residents of all communities, is hosted by the Upper St. Clair Veterans Park Committee, the township and the school district.
