Upper St. Clair Still Feeling Effects Of Severe Flash Flooding
Trash restrictions will be in place this week in the aftermath of the flooding that claimed the life of a township woman.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - The impact from last week’s severe storms and flash flooding that left a township resident dead continue to be felt.
Township manager Matthew Serakowski said Tuesday that Waste Management will limit the pickup of large trash items to a maximum of two per household this week. Most items not collected this week will be picked up the following week.
For those able to transport flood-damaged household trash items,Waste Management will temporarily provide a roll-off container at the small parking lot adjacent to the public works building at 1751 McLaughlin Run Road.

Visitation continues Tuesday for Wendy Garland Abbott, 63, who lost her life during the June 20 flash flood. The viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave., Carnegie. The funeral service will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Carnegie Presbyterian Church, 219 Ewing Rd., Collier Township.
