2 Central Falls Men Indicted In Slaying Near Pawtucket Car Wash

PAWTUCKET, RI — Two Central Falls men have been charged with murder in the slaying of a Pawtucket man who was found with a gunshot wound to the head outside a Pawtucket car wash.

Olivio Leverone, 33, and Julio Debarros, 36, were indicted Friday by a Providence County Grand Jury on murder, firearms and drug charges, prosecutors said. On the afternoon of Oct. 25, 39-year-old Julius Bell was found with a gunshot in the parking lot of the Water Works Car Wash on Main Street in Pawtucket. He later died at a hospital.

Leverone was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy to carry a pistol without a license, carrying a pistol without a license, possession of a firearm after being convicted of a violent crime, delivering marijuana, possession of 1 to 5 kilograms of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Debarros was charged with murder, conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy to carry a pistol without a license, carrying a pistol without a license, possession of a firearm after being convicted for a violent crime and soliciting another person to deliver marijuana.

Police said Artur Debarros, 24, was a third apparent suspect in the case and killed himself as police closed in on him days after the slaying, WPRI-TV reported. Police said Julio Debarros is the uncle of Artur Debarros.
