CENTRAL FALLS, RI — The city wants to hire two assistant city solicitors and several part-time public health ambassadors, Mayor Maria Rivera has announced.

Assistant City Solicitor (Housing and Equity)

This lawyer will coordinate the city’s community action plan regarding affordable housing and lead the city’s comprehensive program to tackle lead poisoning and landlord-tenant issues.

Assistant City Solicitor (Nuisance Task Force)

This lawyer will lead a Nuisance Task Force to address properties that negatively impact neighborhoods, the quality of housing, and the health and life of city residents, businesses, and visitors.

Health Ambassadors

Part-time ambassadors are needed to work directly with local businesses. The workers will emphasize safety measures needed to combat COVID-19, help decrease vaccination hesitancy, and educate the community on the health advantages of being vaccinated.
