Quonochontaug Central Beach Fire District Nom. Committee To Meet

The fire district's meetings are held in accordance with the Rhode Island Open Meetings Act and are open to the public.

CHARLESTOWN, RI — The Quonochontaug Central Beach Fire District Nominating Committee plans to meet Monday morning.

According to a posted agenda, the committee will meet June 28 at 11 a.m. at 68 Oceanview Avenue. Three items are on the agenda: Timeline Review, Confirm Open Positions, and Discuss Methodology of Approaching Members for Nominations and Recommendations.

The fire district's meetings are held in accordance with the Rhode Island Open Meetings Act and are open to the public. Under the district's 1930 State Charter, the district may assess taxes to provide services and support the operation and maintenance of district property.

The fire district is governed by a set of bylaws. Use of the district's amenities, including beach facilities, is limited to owners of real property within the district, their immediate families, resident guests, or tenants of such owners, the bylaws state.
