Blackie's Restaurant In Smithfield To Reopen After Long Closure
The restaurant will open its doors to the public on March 17.
SMITHFIELD, RI — Blackie's restaurant in Smithfield has announced that it will reopen on March 17 following a long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The restaurant, which opened on Dec. 1 2011 and moved to its current location in 2019, has been closed for safety reasons since August 31.
"One year into our new dream location, we are dealing with an unseen enemy known as COVID-19," said the restaurant in a Facebook post last August. "It is with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes we announce the closing of blackie’s."

After closing its doors for over six months, Blackie's announced its reopening via Facebook Friday with a post that reads, "b.here March 17."
