Coronavirus Crisis Closes 2 Smithfield Beaches For Summer
Smithfield town officials said Georgiaville Pond Beach and Greenlake Beach are closed for 2020 due to coronavirus concerns.
SMITHFIELD, RI — Smithfield Town Officials have closed two town beaches for the season due to the coronavirus health emergency.
Officials said on Friday that at Georgiaville Pond Beach and Greenlake Beach (Slacks Pond) are closed due to coronavirus concerns. There will be no lifeguards on duty and swimming is prohibited.
The boat launch at Georgiaville Beach is open and parking stickers not required.
