SMITHFIELD, RI — An immediate weight restriction has been instituted on Limerock Road between Douglas Pike in Smithfield and Jenckes Hill Road in Lincoln.

The gross weight limit restriction is set at 35,001 pounds, a towed vehicle with a rating of 10,000 pounds, a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001, a vehicle designed to transport 16 or more passengers or vehicles transporting hazardous materials and required to be placarded.
