Joan M. [Johnson] Johnson, 77: Founding Member, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church

Joan M. (Johnson) Johnson, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Stephen B. Johnson.
Joan was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Arthur R. and Alice (Swanson) Johnson. She lived in Smithfield for 58 years and was a founding member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was an incredible cook and baker, whose delicious treats were a centerpiece for family gatherings. She also had a passion for gardening.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10 am from the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, followed by services at 11 am in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 54 Cedar Swamp Road, Smithfield. Burial will be private in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Visitation Friday from 5 to 8 pm.
