Mass. Man Arrested in DUI Charge
Smithfield Police also cited Connor Arnold for speeding in Douglas Pike.
A Massachusetts 21-year-old faces a DUI charge after his arrest by Smithfield Police on Sept. 14.
Connor Arnold, 21, is due for a pre-trial hearing on Oct. 29 for the DUI charge.
Smithfield Ptlm. John Beausoleil reported on Sept. 14 at about 1:15 a.m. that he saw Arnold's 2008 Saab speeding on Douglas Pike. A radar reading showed 60 mph in the 40-mph zone, according to Beausoleil.
Arnold said he and his friends had just left Bryant University and were headed back to Providence.
Beausoleil reported smelling "a moderate odor" of liquor on Arnold, and brought him to police headquarters for processing.
