New Mascot Tupper II Arrives At Bryant
They'll never forget Ironclad Tupper, but Tupper II is making new friends as the university's new mascot.

SMITHFIELD, RI — Bryant's new mascot, Tupper II, is settling into his new post as the school's official mascot. He is named after Ironclad Tupper, Bryant's first mascot.
Tupper I collapsed at the Festival of Lights celebration on campus on Dec. 6. According to university President Ron Machtley, the dog died of an apparent stroke. At the time, Machtley vowed there would be a Tupper II, although no one would ever replace Ironclad Tupper.

"Tupper I will always be remembered as the first in what we hope will be a long and proud line of terrific, tenacious Bulldog mascots. No school could have asked for a better, more loyal, and friendly mascot. Ironclad Tupper I was much loved and his memory will always be cherished."
