Kathleen C. Gillerlane, 80, of Greenville, died Tuesday evening, January 12, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen C. Gillerlane, 80, of Greenville, died Tuesday evening, January 12, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Michael Gillerlane.

Born in Drumlistna, County Sligo, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (McGill) O’Gara.

Before retiring last year, Mrs. Gillerlane was a manager for the meal site program at the John E. Fogarty Center for thirty-years. She and her late husband Mike also owned the former Killarney Castle Lounge in Johnston for many years.

Kathleen was a faithful communicant of Saint Philip Church and was a past member of the Irish Ceilidhe Club of Rhode Island.

She leaves two daughters, Ann M. Gillerlane and her husband, Joseph P. Hinkes, and Kathleen Gillerlane Hanley and her husband Kevin; a son, Michael G. Gillerlane and his wife Theresa; two brothers, Thomas and Liam O’Gara; three sisters, Margaret “Peggy” McCoy, Agnes Feeney and Nancy Gill; and seven loving grandchildren, Ailis, Liam, Fiona, Eleanor, Chloe, Kevin and Clare. She was predeceased by her sister, Maureen Lyons and brother, Patrick O’Gara.

The funeral will be held Monday, at 9:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday, 3:00 – 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Women & Infant Breast Health Center, Attn: Jack Gold, 101 Dudley Street, Providence, RI 02906 or Visiting Nurse Association of Care New England, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 in her memory will be appreciated.
