Obituary: Robert "Bob" Joseph Levasseur, 64

Robert J. Levasseur "Bob" 64, of Smithfield, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center.

Robert J. Levasseur “Bob” 64, of Smithfield, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband of Catherine L. (Antonizio) Levasseur. They were married for 23 years.

Born in Kingston Ontario, Canada, he was a son of Edna (Migneault) Levasseur and the late Paul Levasseur.

Bob worked as an inspector for Microfibers Corporation in Pawtucket for several years before retiring.

He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and was President of Holy Table Ministries. Bob had a kind soul and passion to help the homeless and individuals with drug addiction. He was a warrior for god.

Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Jesse Levasseur, Carmen Ducharme, Monique Levasseur, Angelique Plastied, and Rebecca Fish; three step children, Ryan and Derek Lucas and Bethany Lucas; 3 brothers, Roger, Ronald and Daniel Levasseur; two sisters, Linda Lawrence and Cynthia Debronzio; grandchildren, Crystal, Ashley, Justin, Brandon, Jonathan, Kiana, Lily, Jesse Jr., Haleigh, Emma, Collin, Isaac, Mia, and Mae; two great grandchildren, Desirre and Amber; and was the beloved godfather to many children. He was the brother of the late Paul Levasseur.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 9:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visiting hours, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
