RI Power Outages: Most Restored After Thousands Lost Power
Most of the power outages were in Westerly and in the northern part of Rhode Island as of 6:30 p.m., according to National Grid.

SMITHFIELD, RI—More than 2,000 Westerly households lost power Tuesday night, according to National Grid. As of 6:31 p.m., 2,026 were off the grid and not expected to be restored until 2 a.m. on Wednesday. But by 10 p.m., the company was reporting only 23 were still in the dark. In North Smithfield, 268 households were impacted, but were back on line by 6:45 p.m. But 271 Cumberland households were out, and there were scattered outages elsewhere in Washington and Providence counties.
Weather watchers reported a big tree limb down on Snake Hill Road in Burrillville and street flooding in North Providence.
