Flags At Half Staff For RI Soldier Killed In Live Ammunition Training Exercise: Fort Carson, Colorado
The Army has said little about the accident, except that it is investigating.

FORT CARSON, COLO — Army Spc. Matthew Turcotte was shot and killed early Wednesday morning during a live ammunition training exercise, the Associated Press has reported.
The Army said it is investigating the accident.
According to the Military.com website, Turcotte, 20, was from North Smithfield. He was in the Army two years and had deployed once to Kosovo.

Flags are at half staff on state buildings in Rhode Island in his honor.
