Smithfield Adds Second Deposit Box At Town Hall
Smithfield has placed another drop box for documents at the front door of town hall to go along with the drive-up box in the front driveway.
SMITHFIELD, RI — Smithfield has added a second location at town hall for residents to drop off documents and payments while town hall remains closed due to the coronavirus health crisis.
There is a new secure drop box at the front door of town hall. Documents and other correspondence can be placed there, and should be clearly labeled with the name of the department or person for whom the documents are intended.
A drive-up deposit box remains at the front driveway at he town hall for tax payments to the tax collector's office. Payments are accepted there for real estate and motor vehicle taxes, as well as Smithfield water and sewer bills.

Payments must be made via check or money order. Cash is not advised for drop box payments.
