Smithfield Coronavirus Support Fund Created
Smithfield has set up the fund in partnership with John J. Tassoni Jr. for residents in need of assistance during the health emergency.
SMITHFIELD, RI — A COVID-19 Support Fund has been set up in Smithfield with support from John J. Tossoni Jr. to help residents in need of assistance during the coronavirus health emergency. Public donations to the fund will be accepted by the town.
"I'm announcing a Smithfield challenge for my Smithfield and other friends. With a lot of residents losing their jobs and are in need of food and medical supplies. Please open up your hearts to getting some gift certificates for Stop & Shop, Dave's, Walgreen's, CVS, etc or monetary donations," John J. Tassoni, Jr. said.
Those willing to make a donation are invited to send it to Smithfield Town Hall, c/o Randy Rossi, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI, 02917.
