SMITHFIELD, RI – Smithfield's Independence Day celebration is July 2 at Bulldog Stadium, Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike. The campus opens at 6 p.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. The Navy Band goes on at 8 p.m. followed by the fireworks at 9. The rain date is Sunday July 8.
