Smithfield Little League Announces 2017 All-Star Rosters
Smithfield Little League today announced its rosters for the league's 2017 all-star teams.

SMITHFIELD - Smithfield Little League today announced its rosters for the league's 2017 all-star teams. Rosters for the Junior and AAA and 8U Minors All-Star Teams will be announced in the coming weeks. More than 70 Smithfield youth will continue to play baseball in the summer months representing the town on one of six teams.
The teams will represent the town of Smithfield in the Rhode Island District 4 Tournaments this summer that begin in early July. Those teams that win the district tournament earn a chance to compete in the Rhode Island Little League State Tournament. The 12-year team, if successful, competes in the Regional Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut. The winner of the Regional Tournament realizes a dream of every
Little League player: a chance to compete on the international stage in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The 12-year-old All-Star Team roster includes Matt Belleavoine, Teddy Blais, Gio Capaldi, Nick Collins, Ryan Kennedy, Zach Lavallee, Chris Lopez, Luca Maiello, Marcus Mensah, Ray Porter and Nick Tsonos. The team is led by manager Jay Kennedy and assisted by coaches Bruce Belleavoine and Jeff Collins.
The 11-year-old All-Star Team includes Jared Atkinson, Dominic Bellini, Jacob Boudreau, Connor Caprio, Shaun Dwyer, Ryan Flynn, Alex Henson, Jordan Hurst, Daniel Lee, Theodore Richardson, Michael Sands, Paul Snowman and Lucas Swierad. The 11-year-old team is managed by Dennis Dwyer with coaches Brian Flynn and A.J. Lee.

The 10-year-old All-Star Team will feature Christopher Benell, Ben Cicchitelli, Seamus Dickson, Brenan Duquette, Connor Fochler, Michael Goodson, Thomas Hayden, Mason Keenan, Joshua Kline, Elijah Reed, Ryan Sligo, Christian Snowman and Michael Villandry. The team is managed by Dan Snowman with coaches Brian Dickson and Michael Goodson.
The Minors Division includes the 9U and 8U All-star teams.
The AAA Division 9U All-Star Team includes Parker Boyd, Cameron Caprio, Anthony DiLorenzo, Jacob Ellis, Jonas Gorman, Tyler Guilfoyle, Alexander LaPorte, Everett Matteson, Parker McConaghy, Elliot Suggs and Nicholas Tarro. Michael Guilfoyle will manage the team with coaches Scott Boyd and David Caprio.
The Minors 8U All-Star Team includes Noah Antunes, Robert Atkinson, Tucker Byrnes, Nathan Cameron, Sam Cicchitelli, Lucas Desjardins, Luke Dwyer, Colin Goding, Domenic Lombardi, Joshua Porrazzo, Wyatt Speakman, Trevor Sullivan and Joshua Turner. The team will be managed by Dave Antunes with coaches Derek Cicchitelli and Jeff Byrnes.
Smithfield Little League will also participate in the Juniors Division All-Star Tournament. The roster includes Matthew Antunes, Ethan Bose, Andrew Ferragamo, John Golato, Jordan Golato, Samuel Greene, Christopher Olean, Joseph Pitrone, III, Samuel Placido, Nathan Potter, Zander Semerjian, Thomas Sheppard and Robert Squillante. The team is managed by David Placido with coaches Keith Greene and Robert Squillante.
Game schedules may be found on the Rhode Island District 4 website, www.rid4ll.org , under the ’17 Tournament tab. The District will again offer a live scoreboard updated every half inning through its free mobile app. The District created an iPhone and Android app that provides live scores for all games in each division in the District Tournament and shares the latest RID4LL news, a social media hub and directions to all fields in the District.
