Smithfield Motor Vehicle Tax Bills Delayed

Due to the coronavirus crisis and state budget delays, town motor vehicle bills are expected to be mailed by the end of August.

SMITHFIELD, RI — Smithfield residents will see a delay in their motor vehicle tax bills this summer due to state budget and coronavirus crisis-related delays.

Real estate and personal property tax bill were to be sent out by July 31. Residents can expect to see motor vehicle tax bills by the end of August.

The bills are being delayed so that state lawmakers can reconvene and pass a state budget.
