Smithfield New Student Fall Registration

Registration will be online only for the first time this year.

SMITHFIELD, RI —New student registration is underway for Smithfield Public Schools.

Students who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year.

For the first time this year, registration will be accepted using the new online system here. No paper applications will be accepted.

In preparation for registration, parents or guardians should have their birth certificate, most recent record of physical and immunizations (including lead and vision screening) and proof of residency.

Proof of residency includes: current mortgage and major utility bill, fully executed lease and major utility bill or property deed and major utility bill.

These documents should be uploaded as part of the on-line application process. For those who cannot upload them, keep them and you will be contacted when the school administration building reopens.
