Smithfield School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School And More

SMITHFIELD, RI — The first day of school in Smithfield is August 28 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Smithfield School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/12: No School (Statewide Primary Election Day)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/15: No School for All Students/Parent Teacher Conferences (HS/MS Only)
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day Weekend)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/28: Last Day of School for Seniors

June

• 6/10: Last Day of School
