Smithfield Student Wins College-Sponsored Prize
The latest round of winners include students who are receiving scholarships sponsored by the colleges.
SMITHFIELD, RI—Renee E. Roy, of Smithfield, has won a college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship. Renee is a student at Smithfield High who will attend college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Renee intends to major in mechanical engineering.
The National Merit Scholarship organization announced the college-sponsored winners today.
