Take Your Pick from a Pumpkin Patch Near Smithfield This Weekend

As the once-green leaves turn shades of orange and red, there's no doubt that fall is upon us.

And with just a couple of weeks until Halloween, it's a great time to venture out to local farms and check out their recent crop of pumpkins, or grab a bag or two of apples for apple pies.

Many places around Smithfield also offer hay rides and other activities for the family — there are even special fall-themed events, like Henry Steele Orchard's Applefest on Oct. 13 and 14.
