$1400 Stimulus Checks Will Start Arriving This Week
Governor Bryan announced that Virgin Islanders who qualify for the $1,400 stimulus check will start receiving checks in the mail this week.
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS —Governor Bryan announced today that residents should start receiving the latest stimulus checks this week. The $1,400 stimulus payments are part of President Biden's American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
The VI government has issued the $600 stimulus checks to 41,524 residents, which is 92% of the eligible population. Those who have not yet received the $600 checks either didn't qualify because their income is too high or they have an issue with their 2019 tax filing.
