DPNR Hosts Commercial Fisher Registration
The annual Commercial Fisher registration will be from July 12th – July 16th, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Department of Planning and Natural Resources will commence the annual Commercial Fisher registration from July 12th – July 16th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“Last month we assisted over 100 fishers by providing information, sharing requirements,
and starting the necessary steps to remain in compliance,” Commissioner Commissioner Jean-Pierre Oriol said. “Next week we look forward to helping our commercial fishers to complete the license renewal registration process.”

The St. Thomas/St. John commercial fisher registration will be held at the lower-level
auditorium of the Charles W. Turnbull Library, located just past Plaza Extra supermarket.
The St. Croix commercial fisher registration will be held at the Anna’s Hope Division of
Environmental Enforcement offices.

All commercial fishers are strongly encouraged to register during this period in their respective districts. Recommendations of the Virgin Islands Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control will be followed, and masks will be required for service.
