Body Found in Crown Bay Identified as Man Reported Missing
Police identified the body that was discovered in Crown Bay in mid-December as a man who had been reported missing.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — On December 29, 2020, Dexter A. Tronchin was reported missing by his family members. Tronchin was last seen in November of the same year.
Just two weeks earlier, on December 15, the Virgin Islands Police Department had been alerted to a decomposed body discovered near a business in Crown Bay. When they arrived, they found a deceased body on the ground, dressed in all black.
Yesterday, May 18, police were able to confirm that the deceased body was Mr. Tronchin. In March, DNA was obtained from Tronchin's family members and compared to DNA from the body found in Crown Bay. According to the VIPD, there appear to be no signs of foul play.
