U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS —The VI Literary Festival & Book Fair, running April 30 - May 2, is for everyone who wants to celebrate literature. Whether you’re an established writer, a hopeful author or just an avid reader, there are sessions for everyone.

This year marks the seventh year of the festival and the theme is “Diasporic Rhythms II: Interrogating the Past; Imagining a Future.” The festival welcomes award-wining authors Edwidge Danticat, Kwame Dawes, Canisia Lubrin, Vladimir Lucien and Jacqueline Bishop as headliners along with a number of other internationally recognized authors. All events will be held online.

There is programming for all ages. The Pre LitFest activities scheduled for Friday morning, April 30, are designed especially for school children. The rest of the three-day festival will feature discussions, poetry and writing workshops along with editing and publishing advice.
