ST. THOMAS, USVI — Active-duty military personnel and their families can visit the Virgin Islands Children's Museum free of charge this summer. The Children's Museum has announced that it is joining the Blue Star Museums initiative, a nation-wide program that waives the cost of museum entry for U.S. military personnel and their families.

The program runs from Armed Forces Day (May 15) through Labor Day (September 6) of 2021. Any active-duty individual qualifies, including members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps. Up to five family members will also get free admission.

“The strength, dedication and resiliency that military families demonstrate time and again do not go unnoticed in the US Virgin Islands. We are happy to be a part of this amazing initiative to show our support for these families. There are unfortunately times of war, and that means making time for play is even more important,” said Chantel Hoheb, Executive Director of the VICM.
