Driver in Brookman Road Hit-And-Run Turns Himself In

ST. THOMAS, USVI — On Tuesday, June 8, at approximately 3:25 p.m., 31-year-old Rafael A. Ledesma German of Nye Nordsidevej turned himself in to the Traffic Investigation Bureau. He admitted being the driver of the maroon Acura that struck and killed 37-year-old Royson JnoBaptiste on Brookman Road on June 6. He was placed under arrest, charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Bail for Ledesma German was set at $7,500, which he could not post. He was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
