Fatal Hit-And-Run On Brookman Road
Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a male pedestrian and searching for the driver of a maroon Acura MDX.
ST. THOMAS, USVI — Polie are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that killed one pedestrian on Sunday, June 6.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, officers from the Virgin Islands Police Department received a report that a car hit a pedestrian on Brookman Road. Their investigation revealed that a male pedestrian was walking across Brookman Road heading east, when a maroon Acura MDX traveling north on the road struck the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision.
The pedestrian was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center but died a short time later. The pedestrian was later identified by his family as 37-year-old Royson JnoBaptiste.
