Latest Rules For Visiting The British Virgin Islands

The BVIs have updated their entry guidelines for visitors.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The British Virgin Islands have announced new entry guidelines for visitors, loosening the requirements for vaccinated individuals.

Under the updated rules, international travelers who are fully vaccinated no longer need to get a PCR test upon arrival, which means they also no longer need to quarantine while waiting for the test results. Vaccinated travelers do need to provide an RT-PCR test or an approved rapid antigen test within five days of arrival.

Unvaccinated travelers still need to be tested upon arrival and quarantine for seven days.

All BVI visitors need to register on the government portal 48 hours prior to departure and obtain a BVI Authorization Certificate. Travelers also need to show proof of medical insurance covering COVID-19 and pay a port authorization fee, which has been reduced from $105 to $35 for fully vaccinated individuals.

Visitors who are partially vaccinated, meaning they have received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine, must submit results of a PCR test within five days of travel, must have a PCR test or rapid antigen test upon arrival, and will have to quarantine for four days.
