Limetree Bay Suspending Production

Limetree Bay refinery has informed the EPA that it is temporarily suspending production.

ST. CROIX, USVI — Limetree Bay refinery has informed the Environmental Protection Agency that it is temporarily suspending production.

The announcement was made public in a tweet by Michael Regan, EPA Administrator. He added, "The repeated incidents at the refinery are unacceptable. EPA has a team on St. Croix and is committed to taking all necessary action to ensure people’s health and safety is protected."

No word yet on when production will resume.
