NOAA Tracking Tropical Wave, 30% Chance Of Formation

ST. THOMAS, USVI — The National Hurricane Center is tracking a tropical wave located about 700 miles east-southeast of the Windward Islands. The storm is currently producing disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms.

According to the current forecast, the chance of formation over the next 48 hours to 5 days is only 30%. The system is expected to move westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.
