Police Blotter: June 13 - June 19
Local crime as reported by the Virgin Islands Police Department.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS —
On June 13, Simon L. Rawlins, Jr., age 33 of Thomasville Apartments, turned himself in to police after learning that he was wanted. He was subsequently arrested, charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Kidnapping, Simple Assault, Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, and Disturbance of the Peace. A victim stated that Rawlins, who is her boyfriend, found her at a friend’s residence and forced her into his truck at gunpoint. The victim stated that she managed to escape and approached officers to advise them of what happened. Rawlins was jailed without bail, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
On June 12, at roughly 4:25 p.m., police arrested Michael Morgan, age 51 of Austin, Texas, charging him with being a Fugitive from Justice. Officers were contacted by Customs and Border Patrol agents who held Morgan after discovering the state of Texas had a warrant for his arrest. Morgan is wanted for Parole Violation. This case is presently under investigation.

On June 15, at around 4:30 p.m., police arrested Darrell Thomas, age 50 of Anna’s Retreat, charging him with Contempt of Court, Domestic Violence. A female victim, who has a restraining order against Thomas, stated she observed him outside of a residence that she was visiting on June 12. The victim also stated that she observed Thomas standing in the Fort Christian parking lot on June 15 in violation of a court order placing him under 24-hour house arrest. Police located Thomas in the Fort Christian parking lot, where he was placed under arrest. Thomas was jailed without bail, as per the territory’s domestic violence laws, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
On June 18, at approximately 2:51 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a shooting incident with a man down in the area of Coki Point. Officers traveled to the scene and found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment, where he was listed in serious condition. Detectives are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-TIPS.

On June 18, at approximately 11:20 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was contacted by a concerned citizen who reported hearing multiple shots being fired and a male down in Smith Bay. Officers traveled to the scene and found two gunshot victims in the area.The first male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds about his body. Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene checked the male for vitals and discovered that he did not have any signs of life. The male was identified by family members as 42-year-old Camille W. King, Jr.
The second male victim also suffered multiple gunshot wounds about his body. He was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment, however he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The identity of this victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
On June 18, approximately 6:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man down in Estate Fortuna near the food van. Upon arrival to the scene, officers found an unresponsive, Black male with a gunshot wound. The male victim identified as Donald George, age 38 of Estate Fortuna was declared deceased upon arrival by the Emergency Medical Technicians.
