Royal Caribbean Summer Cruises Will Stop In USVI
Royal Caribbean announced a line-up of summer cruises. Three ships will stop in Charlotte Amalie, starting in August.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS —Royal Caribbean International announced it's summer cruising schedule and three ships will stop in the U.S. Virgin Islands starting in August. Freedom of the Seas, the first cruise to set sail since the bginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, will sail Fourth of July weekend, according to a news release posted on June 4. The cruise will depart from the Port of Miami and dock at Perfect Day at CocoCay, a site owned by the cruise company.
Only a few days earlier, Royal Caribbean received the green light from the Centers for Disease Control to launch simulated cruises. Simulated cruises are a precautionary step required by the CDC to test the company's COVID-10 protocols and show that the ships are prepared for the return of passengers.
Shortly after the initial cruise, six more Royal Caribbean ships will set sail from major U.S. cruise ports in Florida and Texas in July and August. The company announced that by the end of August, 12 Royal Caribbean ships will be cruising across The Bahamas, Caribbean, Alaska and Europe.
