Second Tropical Wave Headed Towards USVI, 40% Chance Of Formation
The tropical wave could reach the USVI by early next week.

U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS — Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center identified a second tropical wave located about 900 miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. As of 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, the disturbance was showing signs of organization and forecasters are giving it a 40% chance of forming into a larger storm over the next five days.
It is currently moving west-northwestward at about 20 mph and on track to reach the USVI early next week.
