Stores Across America Removing Masks Requirement, Not Yet In USVI
Chains and theme parks are rolling back mask requirements for fully vaccinated customers. USVI has not yet announced similar plans.

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Target, Walmart, Costco, Starbucks, Sam's Club, Publix and Trader Joe's all have one thing in common: they no longer require fully vaccinated customers to wear masks while shopping. Target and Walmart also no longer require vaccinated employees to wear masks.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced new mask guidelines last week: fully vaccinated individuals no longer need to wear masks in most indoor and outdoor settings. Since then, businesses and states have announced new mask rules that align with the latest guidance.

The U.S. Virgin Islands has not yet updated its mask requirements. Calls to Moe's Fresh Market and Kmart confirmed that masks are still required by all customers and employees.
Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Ohio, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Kentucky, Washington, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, North Carolina, Kansas, Colorado and Rhode Island have announced plans to update their state-mandated mask guidelines to be in line with the CDC guidance, The AP reported. Theme parks have also followed suit. Disney World and Universal no longer require masks in outdoor areas, though all guests, vaccinated and unvaccinated, must wear masks indoors, on rides, and when in line.

Some states, including California, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Hawaii and Massachusetts, have announced that they are keeping stricter mask rules in place for now. As are some stores, including Walgreens, CVS and Home Depot.
