WAPA: Major Electrical Service Interruption Affecting All Of St. Croix

ST. CROIX, USVI — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority just announced that there is a major interruption in electrical service affecting all customers on St. Croix.

WAPA says the interruption is caused by an apparent loss of generation capacity at the Estate Richmond Power Plant. Efforts are being made to restore service.
