Friday Fun on St. Croix: Join The Beach Clean Up!

ST. CROIX, USVI — The Friends of St Croix East End Marine Park are hosting a slew of outdoor activities this month. Join them this Friday, May 14, from 8:30 -11:30am and help clean up Altona Lagoon.

Altona Lagoon is an important nursery habitat for many species of fish, several of which are commercially important. Altona is also a popular spot for families to swim and fish. Plus it's the primary hub for transport to and from Buck Island.

Unfortunately, the frequent visitors have taken a toll and the mangroves are littered with tires and trash. So come out tomorrow and help return Altona to its natural beauty.

This is an especially good opportunity if you are a student looking earn community service hours.
