Vote! St. Croix Fourth Grader Could Win Google Doodle Competition

Armani Harvey is the territory winner for the Google Doodle competition. Now he has a chance to be one of the five National Finalists.

ST. CROIX, USVI — Armani Harvey could be a world-famous artist before he enters fifth grade. Armani, a fourth grader at Pearl B. Larsen PreK-8 School, is one of the 54 state and territory winners of the 13th annual Doodle for Google competition. With enough votes, he could be one of the top five National Finalists.

The competition challenges K-12 students to create artwork for the Google landing page. This year's theme was "I am strong because..." Armani's doodle was selected as a finalist from thousands of entires submitted.

In the next round of the competition, the public can vote for their favorite Doodle. Voting opened on May 10 and will remain open through May 15. Vote on the Doodle for Google website: doodle4google.com.

The top five National Finalists will be announced later this month and each will receive a $5,000 college scholarship, Google hardware, and Google swag.

One of the top five will be chosen as the National Winner. If Armani wins, his art would be featured the Google homepage for millions to see. He will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship and his school will receive a $50,000 technology package.
