WAPA: Fisher Street in Frederiksted Closed on Monday
The road work may also interrupt potable water service to customers in the immediate area.

ST. CROIX, USVI — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority released a notice on Sunday evening that Fisher Street in Frederiksted will be closed on Monday, May 10 for construction.
WAPA advised, "As the Frederiksted Water Rehabilitation Project nears completion, a road closure will be in effect on Fisher Street at the Queen Street intersection in Frederiksted on Monday, May 10, 2021. The road closure, from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., is necessary to allow Leumas Engineering Group to install equipment at the location.
Additionally, the work may interrupt potable water service to customers in the immediate area. Motorists traversing in and around the work area are asked to proceed with caution and to be aware of detours that will be required to accommodate the road closure.

Once the project is completed at the end of this month, water quality and system reliability will be improved significantly."
