U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Water and Power Authority announced that planned water outages will affect residents in Frederiksted Town on Monday, June 7 and on Wednesday, June 9 as a WAPA contractor completes waterline tie ins and other final work associated with the west end water rehabilitation project.
Work on Queen Cross and East Street on Monday will require road closures on the intersection and a water service interruption from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. On Wednesday, Leumas Engineering will work on King Street and Customs House from 7 am – 8 pm. This work will also require road closures and a water service interruption to customers on King and Queen Streets.
During the two days of work this week, customers may also experience periods of reduced water pressure while personnel tests water quality in the area.
