UPDATE: 2 Dale City 7-Elevens Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

Authorities are looking for a suspects who robbed two different 7-Elevens in Dale City on Monday and Tuesday morning.

DALE CITY, VA — Two 7-Elevens in Dale City were robbed at gunpoint within 24 hours of each other, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Now, authorities are looking to identify the suspects in the robberies.

The first 7-Eleven, at 14410 Minnieville Road, was robbed on Monday morning. The second store, on Darbydale Avenue, was robbed on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the 7-Eleven near the intersection of Minnieville Road and Cardinal Drive around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, June 28. An employee at the convenience store reported the robbery to authorities.

The employee told officers that an unknown man entered the store an immediately approached the counter, according to the police report. Then, the suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the employee, police said.

The suspect demanded money from the register, and the employee complied. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing, according to the police report.

"The suspect fled on foot for a short distance before getting into a dark colored sedan and fleeing the area," authorities said on Monday. No surveillance footage of the suspect was made available initially.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s. He is approximately 6 feet tall, and weighs about 180 pounds. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing all black clothing and carrying a firearm.

Another 7-Eleven, located at 14797 Darbydale Avenue, was robbed on Tuesday. Officers responded to the convenience store at 1:14 a.m. to investigate the armed robbery.

An employee told police that an unknown man entered the store, pulled a gun from his waistband, and demanded money. The suspect retrieved an undisclosed amount of money from the store's registers, and then fled the area on foot, according to the police report.

The suspect is described as a man of unknown race who is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing.
