Armed Robbery Suspect Sought In Dale City: Police
The Prince William County Police Department are looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred in Dale City on Thursday.

DALE CITY, VA — A man in Dale City was robbed in broad daylight on Thursday afternoon, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. An 18-year-old victim told authorities that he was held at gunpoint.
Officers responded to 4500 block of Central Park Drive at 1:47 p.m. on Thursday, June 24. An 18-year-old man told police that he was walking in the area when an unknown man approached him from behind.
The victim told police that the suspect had a gun, and demanded the victim's belongings. The victim complied, according to the police report. The suspect then fled the area on foot, police said.

Central Park Drive is located just off of Minnieville Road in Dale City. The area, which includes several townhomes, is lees than a mile away from the Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center.
During the encounter, the victim lost a phone, a computer, headphones, a wallet, and a wallet. No injuries were reported during the robbery, according to authorities.

After the robbery, the victim returned to his home to notify the authorities. A police K-9 responded to the scene to search for the suspect, but they were unsuccessful.
Authorities described the suspect as a Black man between the ages of 18 and 20 years old. They said he is approximately six feet tall, and weighs about 210 pounds.
At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black fitted hat, a black shirt and pants, blue rubber gloves, and carrying a gun.

The armed robbery was one of several crimes involving firearms in Prince William County on Thursday. One woman was arrested in the 16600 block of Flotilla Way after she accidentally fired a bullet into an apartment. Authorities said the woman was cleaning her gun when it fired, though no injuries were reported.
