The Dodge refused to stop for police, and the trooper began a pursuit, according to a state police news release. After two minutes, the trooper stopped the chase because of heavy traffic on I-95. The Dodge Avenger sped away using the highway's left shoulder.
Different State Police officials positioned themselves north of the original pursuit, and prepared to intercept the vehicle. They resumed the chase as traffic on I-95 was lighter, police said.
